It's a Hard Knock Life...

Cassidy is taking some group and private singing lessons and is really enjoying it! They sang at the Scera Theatre in Orem a few months ago and it was so fun! This was the song "It's a Hard Knock Life"! (Cass is on the very far left).

She sang a solo "Maybe" that is in the movie, Annie! It was Beautiful :)

She did a bunch of group songs too, it's fun to watch them entertain the crowd!

There is Beauty All Around...

This has nothing to do with our Kauai vacation or this post, but have you seen AVATAR? It is my most favorite movie and I want a bird to fly on and I'd like to live in Pandora...Pleeeeaase?!!

We had fun our first night...we went and bought yummy, fresh scallops and made a really super good dish, i can't remember what it's called, but it had avocados, cucumbers, scallops, garlic, lemon juice...it was freshly to die for.

Well. O.K. Dave made it.

Blow hole. Is that what it's called? It sounds kind of dirty. But I don't mean it too....it was super cool.

First things first.

We were so excited when we got to Kauai...we didn't know what to do!!! So...we picked tons of fruit...and ate it.

There's nothing like fresh picked fruit!!!

Cottage Retreat- Kauai 2010

We just got home from Kauai and had a great vacation! Dave and I were planning on doing the famous backpacking trip and sleeping in hammocks for a week, but found out that we may get stranded if it rained a lot (since it rains the most in January!) so we decided to stay at a private residence and go on hikes during the day! If I would have known how much I would fall in love with the island, I would've went on the hike and hoped to get stranded. Seriously. I'm not even kidding.

We stayed in Hanalei and went to all of the different beaches and trails each day. Then we'd come back to our cute little house and get in the hot tub every night!

The house that we stayed at had about 2 acres of beautiful trees, including mango, grapefruit, orange, lemon, guava, tangelo, and nut trees! We made fresh juice every morning and lived off the fruit of the land.

It was so private, i'd recommend this place to anybody traveling in Kauai!

I took so many pictures on this trip, so I'm going to do a few posts!!

I can't wait to go back!!! I think next time...it will be just my backpack...some food...and the beach!

It's so much fun to watch Cassidy open her presents! I love it.
