Botanical Gardens Kauai 2011

There are some things (red hairy thingy below) that I never imagined I'd find in a garden.

THESE bananas are SO Yummy!

Beautiful spikey plant that I wanted to eat.

This tree was so colorful, it made Aaron do a super cool dance move!

Like my Lei Necklace with shot bottles? SO cute and special! I want to wear one for my birthday.

a little weekend getaway

Dave surprised me with a family weekend in Midway! We stayed at The Homestead and had a relaxing weekend, I loved it! We got there on a Saturday evening and had a yummy dinner at the restaurant just a little walk from our cottage house. After dinner, we went and bought some fudge to eat later with our wine. On Sunday morning, we went Swimming in the Crater...

It is SO beautiful here in the Fall! I LOVE it!

It took me a little while to convince Cass to pose by these scary, fake people!

All ready to go and soak in the hot tub and play in the pool!

Then to Park City for some window shopping, a fabulous lunch, pumpkin spice lattes, and a ride through the beautiful canyon with the changing leaves...aaahhhhh perfect heavenly weekend!

Dave was content with his special treat. Jalopeno beer.

10 Day Sea of Cortez- Mazatlan

Parasailing!

Kiersten didn't even have to get off her bummy to shop!

I bought a rice necklace for Cassidy from this boy. He wrote something on the rice and drew a flower, and then put it inside a clear pendant. I bought one when I was in Chile and Loved it, so I thought Cass would like it.

10 Day Sea of Cortez Cruise- Guaymas, Mexico

We thought that this was our last day we would live to see the sky, this port was SCARY. It really was! We took a taxi cab and the guy didn't speak one word of english...and you should've heard Aaron trying to talk to him!
Taxi Driver: La Playa?
Aaron: No, Beach.
Taxi Driver: La Playa, Beeeeeeeeeeesh?
Aaron: No, Beach.
UGH.
Ha! And the 2 hour drive on a dirt road to Who Knows...was a little scary. Good thing Dave found a sharp rock and hid it in his pants. Yep, we were super scared. But, we made it back so all is good!

Cute, dead fish.

Dave was super excited to find this mermaid statue. He has this thing for Mermaids...

Oh...and this is funny! Ha
