We took 3 bags of fresh fish home! Guess what we ate for dinner????
We caught a Basket Starfish...pretty neato looking huh?! It was so wierd...it was moving. It's a real living creature. I'm still trying to comprehend it.

2nd Grade!!! First Day of School

Well, another year has passed and my little baby girl is in 2nd Grade. Cass was so excited to meet her new teacher and all of the kids in her class. She kept on asking me questions...like "Mom, do you think the other kids are nervous?" and "Do you think that we will have more homework than last year?"
She got her clothes and her backpack ready the night before...oh it brought back memories!
She made sure that I bought her comfy clothes. She will not wear jeans!

White Pine Lake-Little Cottonwood Canyon

This is a beautiful hike and lake! You can camp here too...I want to so bad. I went with Dani and Brandon because Dave and Cass were both out of town...we had a good time. We thought we were hiking to Red Pine Lake...but nooooo...we hiked way longer...we took the wrong trail ;) I think we ended up hiking 9 miles instead of 6. We kept on saying...it seems longer than 3 miles...ha ha. Brandon was the guide. Brandon...any words you'd like to say?

So...I had my camelpack full of water and my new hiking poles...I was ready for this hike!! As we are hiking...I keep on trying to suck water out of the thingy and every time I do it, only a tiny bit of water would come out. Eventually, I started thinking that I had drunk (yes Brandon...drunk or drank...whatever!) all of my water. When we got to the top, I was so thirsty but I didn't want to ask Danielle or Brandon for water so I just sucked it up cuz I'm tough. When we had about 2 miles left, I took off my pack and I opened the zipper...and yes. I am so dumb! I put the platypus upside down so that water couldn't flow. My camelpack was absolutely full of cold water and I was so thirsty! Needless to say...I will never make this mistake again.

I'm glad we don't have pictures of us racing...but you shoulda woulda coulda seen us! It was fun. It brought me back to the backpack, school days. I love hopskotch...

Cass is drawing a small part of a mural they have at the museum...they give you a small tile with a picture on it. You draw it and put it up on the board and when it's finished, it's a big completed picture...i couldn't figure out what it was suppose to be...but it was a cute idea, anyways.

LAYNEE IS SO CUTE!

We went to the Dino Museum at Thanksgiving Point and had so much fun. The kids were so amazed by how big the dinosaurs were. It's a pretty neat place to take the kids with lots of hands on activities which they really enjoyed. Here are some more pics of my newest neice who I haven't seen forever! L-A-Y-N-E-E...I couldn't get enough pictures of her and I couldn't get enough of her! She is so sweet and she will just let you hold her and she's the best little girl ever!
She looks like a little Mikey...but girly. So sweet and precious...love her! What? I didn't say I want another baby. Stop saying that.

Em, Hunter, Corinne, and Laynee came to Utah to visit for a few weeks! Mike stayed in Oregon to work. Or hunt bears. Whatever you want to call work or play. I get confused when I see pictures of Mike in the outdoors because I never know if he's working or playing...it's all the same! By the way, he did get a bear and he had quite the story...maybe I'll post it! Mike is my brother and he is so funny...I wish you all knew him. I miss my bro.
